ISS Cycling Team Races to Glory: Major Success at the 1st Stage of the Turkish Cup Road Races!


The 1st Stage of the Turkish Cup Road Races, part of the 2025 calendar of the Turkish Cycling Federation, took place from January 19 to 22 amidst the stunning landscapes of Alanya. As ISS Cycling Team, we started the season strong with remarkable achievements in both individual and team categories.


Women’s Team on the Podium


Our women riders, Gamze Ceyhan, Gökçe Demirsoy, Elifnur Aktı, and Pınar Kurtoğlu, showcased incredible harmony and resilience on the challenging 74-kilometer course.


  • Gamze Ceyhan displayed great determination, finishing 3rdin the individual classification and securing her place on the podium.

  • Gökçe Demirsoy overcame a broken saddle in the last 30 kilometers and showed extraordinary perseverance to finish 5th.

  • Elifnur Aktı came in 11th, while Pınar Kurtoğlu finished 14th.


Thanks to these outstanding performances, our women’s team secured 2nd place in the team classification, proudly stepping onto the podium.


Masters Men Excel at the Top


Our Masters male riders delivered exceptional performances both individually and as a team:


  • Recep Ünalan masterfully completed the 74-kilometer race and claimed 1st place.

  • Mutlu Erçevik emerged as the category champion, standing tall on the podium.

  • Ahmet Eren finished 6th, contributing significantly to the team’s success.


Melih Taş’s Determined Performance in Elite Men


Representing our team in the elite men’s category, Melih Taş competed in the grueling 150-kilometer race, finishing in 3 hours, 50 minutes, and 48 seconds. He placed 29th, demonstrating incredible determination and reflecting the true spirit of our team.


Tough Conditions and New Victories in the Criterium Races


The final day’s criterium races tested our athletes with rainy and slippery conditions.


  • In the elite women’s category, Gökçe Demirsoy finished 5th, showcasing her resilience.

  • Gamze Ceyhan finished 10th, Elifnur Aktı13th, and Pınar Kurtoğlu16th.


In the men’s criterium races:


  • Mutlu Erçevik secured the category championship,

  • While Recep Ünalan placed 2nd, earning another podium finish.
