Mutlu Erçevik is on the podium once again in Granfondo World Series Maraton Franja!
The 42nd Marathon Franja, one of the UCI Granfondo World Series races, took place on Sunday, June 11, 2023, in Ljubljana, Slovenia. In the 100-kilometer race in which 1200 riders took part, our rider Mutlu Erçevik took the 3rd place in his category with a time of 2 hours and 22 minutes, and managed to finish the race in the 26th place in the general classification, in which his very strong rivals took part.
Erçevik, who was in the chasing group of 50 riders 2 minutes behind the 25 riders breakaway group in the front, increased the gap with the chasing group behind them, along with 4 riders who responded to the attack he made in the 90th kilometer climbing section of the race, the last 15 kilometers of which was under heavy rain, and increased the gap till to the finish. While he reaching 26th in the general classification. He managed to climb the podium once again as the 3rd among 112 riders in his category.
Erçevik had previously won the category first in 2019, the 3rd place in the general classification, and the category first in 2021 and the 15th place in the general classification.
