In line with the 2024 activity program of the Turkish Cycling Federation, the Türkiye Road Championship was held in Sivas on June 29-30, 2024. Our athlete, Ozan Özlem, achieved a remarkable success by becoming the Turkish Champion in the 70-kilometer road race and securing the second place in the time trial.
The championship kicked off with an 18-kilometer time trial on the first day. In this race, Ozan Özlem finished with an impressive time of 24 minutes and 0 seconds, earning the second place in Türkiye. His performance once again demonstrated both his physical endurance and strategic skills. The spectators were highly impressed by his display throughout the race.
The 70-kilometer road race held on the second day was filled with excitement. On the challenging Karayün road, Ozan Özlem crossed the finish line first with a time of 49 minutes and 22 seconds, earning the title of Turkish Champion. This achievement brought great pride to our team.
Fatih Özgenlik from the Muğla Karya Club secured the second place in the race, while Eral Aşina from the Ankara Cyprus Cycling Club took third place. Both athletes drew attention with their outstanding performances throughout the race. The competition between Fatih Özgenlik and Eral Aşina added to the excitement of the race.
This year's Turkey Road Championship was of great significance as it provided an opportunity for athletes to showcase their talents and brought together cycling enthusiasts. Ozan Özlem's success is a testament to his determination and hard work, as well as that of our entire team. We aim to achieve similar successes in the upcoming races.
