Team ISS Academy’s Fast Start to the Season: 4 First Places, 3 Second Places at Granfondo Bodrum

Granfondo Bodrum , the first race of the Granfondo season in Turkey, took place on Sunday, April 6, 2025, in the unique nature of Bodrum, on challenging courses. In this important opening race of the season, Team ISS Academy put an embargo on the podium with its strong participation with its women's and men's athletes.
Our athletes, who competed in both short and long courses, left their mark on the season by achieving a total of 4 first places and 3 second places .
Team ISS Academy took the top spot in the Women's Category
Our female athletes displayed outstanding performance throughout the race and won first place in three different categories:
Gökçe Demirsoy won one of the most prestigious awards of the race by coming first in the Women's Long Course General Classification .
Gamze Ceyhan came in first in the professional category by coming in at the top of the Pro Women's Category .
Pınar Kurtoğlu had her name written in golden letters this season by reaching first place in the Women's Short Course General Classification .
Ayla Gökmen came in second in the Women's Long Course category.
Strong Performance in Men: Category Championship from Mutlu Erçevik
Team ISS Academy's success among male athletes was also impressive:
Team founder and coach Mutlu Erçevik became champion in the Long Course Men's Category and ranked 7th in the General Classification . This result stood out as a significant success in the start list full of elite competitors.
Ozan Özlem achieved podium success by taking the 2nd place in his category .
Melih Taş finished the day with another podium for the team, taking 2nd place in the Short Track Men's General Classification .
Umur Kara and Ahmet Cihan Demircan also supported the team with their struggle on the long track.
An Opening Full of Success
Team ISS Academy left the season opening race, Granfondo Bodrum, with the following rankings:

This success once again showed that the team is on the right track in terms of both athlete development and tactical preparation. The planned progress of the training programs and disciplined season preparations were reflected in a perfect start to the Granfondo season.
About the Race
Granfondo Bodrum, organized for the 6th time this year, has consolidated its place among Türkiye's most popular granfondo races. In the race, two different courses (Long and Short) met with cyclists. While athletes tested both their physical and mental endurance with the natural beauties of Bodrum, the race organization was also carried out successfully with high standards.
