Pamukkale Granfondo 2024: Team Iss Academy’s Outstanding Success

Pamukkale Granfondo 2024, one of Turkey’s most prestigious cycling events in the making, took place with great enthusiasm and excitement. The race, which attracted hundreds of local and international cyclists, was held on the unique tracks of Pamukkale, renowned for its natural and historical beauty. Our team delivered a remarkable performance in this challenging race, with Pınar Kurtoğlu and Ebru Özcan leading the way and bringing the team to the forefront.

Highlights of the Race

Cyclists pedaled through the tough and hilly roads of Pamukkale, testing their endurance and technical skills. Our team performed strongly across various categories, with Pınar Kurtoğlu delivering an exceptional race in the women’s category, finishing 1st in the 53-kilometer course. Kurtoğlu expressed her satisfaction, saying, “This race was a turning point for me. Pedaling in the natural beauty of Pamukkale was both a physical and mental challenge. As a team, we supported each other and achieved this success together.”

Ebru Özcan competed in the longer 85-kilometer course, securing 1st place in her category and finishing 3rd overall in the general classification. “Pamukkale Granfondo was tough due to both the weather conditions and the track, but we overcame the obstacles with team spirit. My goal is to improve in every race,” Özcan stated, highlighting both her personal and team aspirations.

A Major Motivation for the Entire Team

The other athletes in our team also showcased strong performances during the race. Team Director Ozan Özlem commented after the race, “Pamukkale Granfondo offered a course where all of our athletes could demonstrate their endurance and strategic abilities. The successes of Pınar and Ebru have become a great source of motivation for upcoming races. We will continue working toward even bigger goals.”
