Our team showed a great performance in Velotürk Granfondo Çeşme 2023, which was held for the 7th time this year and is one of the biggest target races of our team.
It took part in the start of the 7th edition of Velotürk Granfondo Çeşme, one of the most established Granfondo races of the season, with its 10-person squad consisting of Mutlu Erçevik, Ozan Özlem, Ahmet Eren, Umur Kara, Onur Dağlıoğlu, Cenk Dağlıoğlu, Ayhan Oksak, Arda Tekirdağ, Yağız Öztürk and Pınar Kurtoğlu. Our field team once again managed to take a place on the podium with 6 of our athletes as a result of a great team work.
While our 18-year-old athlete Arda Tekirdağ came 2nd in the general classification in the 111km. long course, Umur Kara became the champion in the Master+40 category. In the same category, Ozan Özlem took the 3rd place and Mutlu Erçevik was our other athlete on the podium, coming in 3rd at +50. In the race where Ahmet Eren fell behind due to a puncture, Ayhan Oksak, Cenk Dağlıoğlu and Onur Dağlıoğlu made significant contributions to their teammates' victory as a good example of teamwork with their tactical performances.
Yağız Öztürk achieved another great success for our team with second place in the elite men's category and Pınar Kurtoğlu in the elite women's category in the 63km.short course.
